Refer a patient
Specialist lower-limb MSK podiatry in Clontarf, Dublin 3, with diagnostic ultrasound on site. We see foot, ankle and lower-limb problems driven by how the leg loads and moves.
The clinic runs two clinic days a month, led by Darren Costello, a CORU-registered podiatrist.

The Dublin clinic is specialist-only. It helps to know what fits before you refer.
What we see
- Heel pain, including plantar fasciopathy
- Achilles tendinopathy, mid-portion and insertional
- Foot and ankle pain, including forefoot pain and Morton's neuroma
- Shin pain and suspected bone stress injury in runners
- Knee pain where lower-limb mechanics are a driver
- Assessment for custom orthotic prescription
- Children's heel pain
What we do not see in Dublin
- Corns and callus
- Fungal nails
- Routine nail care
- Other general podiatry

After you refer
Ultrasound at the first visit
Diagnostic MSK ultrasound is available on site, so soft-tissue findings can be imaged during the first appointment rather than at a separate visit.
We write to you
We write to you after the assessment with our findings and the plan, so you know what was found and what happens next.
Shared care with physios
We are inside Body Med Physiotherapy, so working alongside a patient's physiotherapist is straightforward.
Two ways to refer
The patient books online
Ask the patient to book at lower-limb.ie/book and bring your referral letter to the appointment. For pain or injury, the Diagnostic Injury Assessment is the right booking. For an orthotic opinion only, the Orthotic Assessment.
Email the referral
Send the referral to hello@lower-limb.com and we reply to arrange the appointment with the patient.
