The custom orthotics we prescribe are designed and manufactured at our own facility, Réalta Labs in Belfast, using Formlabs SLS 3D printing with ±0.1mm precision. No third-party labs, no compromises in the prescription-to-product chain.

Do I need a GP referral to see a podiatrist in Dublin?
No. You can book directly online. If you have scans, reports or letters from your GP, physio or consultant, bring them along. They are useful context but not required.
Who will I see at the Dublin clinic?
Darren Costello, a CORU-registered podiatrist (registration PO067177) with an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine and a PGCert in Lower Limb MSK Assessment from Brunel University. You can check his registration on the public CORU register.
What does Lower Limb Dublin treat?
Foot, ankle and lower limb injuries and pain: heel pain and plantar fasciitis, Achilles problems, Morton's neuroma, forefoot pain, stress fractures, shin splints, ankle sprains, flat feet and running injuries. We also offer custom 3D-printed orthotics, ingrown toenail surgery and Swift verruca treatment.
Do you offer routine foot care, such as corns, calluses or nail cutting?
No. The Dublin clinic is a specialist injury, biomechanics and orthotics service, so we don't offer routine chiropody, callus and corn care or fungal nail treatment. For those, a general podiatry practice near you is the better fit.
Is ultrasound included in the assessment?
Yes. Diagnostic MSK ultrasound is done on-site during your Diagnostic Injury Assessment where it is clinically useful, so you don't need to arrange a separate scan elsewhere first.
Can I claim on my health insurance?
Many VHI, Laya and Irish Life Health plans include day-to-day benefits for podiatrist visits. You pay on the day and claim with your itemised receipt. Our insurance page explains how it works for each insurer.
