Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly online — no GP or consultant referral required.
What should I bring?
Wear or bring your current footwear, especially any shoes you wear for sport or work. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is ideal so we can assess your lower limb movement.
What if I have an injury?
If you have a specific injury, acute pain, or want a diagnosis, book the Diagnostic Injury Assessment (€160 · 45 mins) instead. The orthotic assessment is focused on mechanics and fit — not injury diagnosis.
How much do the orthotics cost?
The €80 covers the assessment only. Custom orthotic pricing is provided at the appointment based on your clinical prescription. Because they're manufactured in our own lab, we avoid third-party mark-ups.
How long until I receive my orthotics?
Orthotics are prescribed at your assessment and manufactured at Réalta Labs. Turnaround time will be confirmed at your appointment.
Can children have orthotic assessments?
Yes. We assess patients of all ages. Paediatric biomechanics assessment is within our clinical scope — contact us if you have specific questions about your child's age or condition.
