1. Who we are

Lower Limb Dublin is a trading name operating from 188 Clontarf Road, Clontarf East, Dublin 3, D03 C3W0, Ireland. Our lead clinician is Paul McMullan (HCPC registration number available on request).

2. What data we collect

We may collect and process the following personal data:

  • Name, contact details (email, phone, address)
  • Health and medical information provided during appointments (special category data under GDPR)
  • Appointment history and clinical notes
  • Payment information (processed securely — we do not store card details)
  • Website usage data via Google Analytics 4 (anonymised IP)
  • Cookie consent preferences

3. Why we collect it (legal basis)

  • Contractual necessity: to provide the clinical services you book and process payment.
  • Vital interests / healthcare: health data is processed under Article 9(2)(c) and (h) of the GDPR (necessary for healthcare provision and management).
  • Legitimate interests: to improve our services, respond to enquiries, and manage our business operations.
  • Consent: for marketing communications and analytics cookies (you may withdraw consent at any time).

4. Cliniko (practice management)

We use Cliniko to manage appointments, clinical records and invoicing. Cliniko is a HIPAA-compliant, GDPR-aligned practice management platform. Your data in Cliniko is stored on servers in the European Economic Area. Cliniko's privacy policy is available at cliniko.com/privacy.

5. Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads conversion tracking. These services use cookies and collect anonymised data about how visitors use the site. We use Google Consent Mode v2 — analytics and advertising cookies are only activated after you give consent via our cookie banner.

You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time by declining cookies via our cookie consent banner, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to function (no consent needed)
  • Analytics: GA4, to understand how visitors use the site (requires consent)
  • Advertising: Google Ads conversion tracking (requires consent)

7. How long we keep your data

Clinical records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in line with Irish healthcare retention guidelines (and 8 years for records relating to children, until the patient is 25). Other personal data is kept only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018 (Ireland), you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request erasure (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is consent-based)
